Millman Coordinates Demonstration of New Voting Machines at Local Senior Center

August 10, 2010
Brooklyn – Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman, Chair of the Assembly’s Election Law Committee, has arranged a series of public demonstrations of the new electronic voting machines at local senior centers and libraries. In order to comply with the federal Help America Vote Act, New York State will be fully implementing the use of new electronic voting machines in the upcoming September 14th Primary Election. The New York City Board of Elections, working with Assemblywoman Millman, has organized these demonstrations as an opportunity for voters to familiarize themselves with the new machines before the election. On Friday, a demonstration will take place at the St. Charles Jubilee Senior Center in Brooklyn Heights. For more details about future demonstrations, please contact Assemblywoman Millman’s Brooklyn office at (718) 246-4889.
