Convex mirror to be required on all trucks and tractor trailers

Brooklyn – Last week, in Williamsburg it happened again! A young child was killed by a truck. The driver was not able to see the boy riding his tricycle in front of his truck. Several years ago, I introduced Bill A.1446 to require all truck and tractor trailers to have these convex mirrors as they drive through the streets of New York City.
If that driver’s truck had a convex mirror he would have seen this four-year-old on his bike and prevented this tragic incident.
