"Currently, there is no agency level department level office in all of New State for someone with physical disabilities to turn to. If you are deaf, if you are blind, if you have a mobility impairment, if you suffer from epilepsy - all sorts of conditions -  there is literally no agency level office in New York State government for you to turn to. Quite frankly, that is shameful. In our one-house budget, we look to reestablish that office for the advocate," said Assemblyman James Skoufis, Chair of Taskforce on People with Disabilities, while speaking at a press conference that outlined priorities for the physically disabled in the 2018-2019 New York State budget.
