"What we're going to do here is a number of things. First, we're going to remove a couple of the traffic signals, which will help facilitate traffic. But more significantly, we're going to do away with one of the intersections where right now, if you're traffic coming out of Woodbury Common, you have to make a number of left-hand turns to get back on to the Thruway. Instead, now, we're going to create a huge new loop that will streamline the traffic, get rid of those left-hand turns and put the traffic right on to the Thruway, sort of seamlessly," Assemblyman Skoufis said while describing a $115 million Department of Transportation project that will help alleviate traffic in the area around Woodbury Common in Orange County.
