Lifton: Aid for Local Flood Victims Included in Final Budget
April 13, 2005
"To help flood victims in Cortland county – and other damaged areas of the state – the final state budget includes $1 million in immediate funding to provide food, clothing and emergency shelter. This is a stop gap measure intended to bring immediate relief to victims of this tragedy – we need the federal government to come through with additional disaster relief. I strongly urge Congress and the President to provide immediate assistance to flood victims so they can get back on their feet as soon as possible."
