Student Council members of Forest Lake Elementary School received an official Assembly Citation from Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) for participating in his 2018 Annual Pet Food Drive held in conjunction with Baxter’s Pet Pantry and Long Island Cares. Donations can be dropped off at McDonough’s district office located at 404 Bedford Avenue in Bellmore from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“I was very pleased to receive donations from these bright students of Forest Lake Elementary, and I know their donations will go a long way to help feed needy pets in our community,” McDonough said. “I am always inspired by future leaders like these students who show a willingness to improve our community, and I wish them, their teachers and administrators the best going forward.”
