Assembly Majority: Too Much Spending, Not Enough Tax Relief
March 14, 2006
The tax cuts proposed by the Assembly majority simply will not provide working families with the tax relief they so desperately need. My minority Assembly colleagues and I have developed a comprehensive plan for real tax relief within our Restore New York plan. STAR Excelsior, CO-Star, MetroSTAR, and capping municipal and school district tax levies will all work towards building a better Empire State and reducing the heavy tax burden. I urge Speaker Sheldon Silver and his colleagues to pass the tax relief plan the Assembly minority has proposed.
