Rozic Appointed Secretary of Assembly Majority Conference

Albany, NY – In response to being appointed by Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie to serve as Secretary of the New York State Assembly Majority Conference, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D, WF-Fresh Meadows) issued the following statement:

“I am honored to serve in this new leadership role and continue working alongside my colleagues to push legislation that will make a meaningful difference for all New Yorkers. This is an exciting opportunity to not only further a progressive statewide agenda, but to also deliver on critical issues impacting Eastern Queens.”

Rozic joins Queens Assemblymembers Jeffrion Aubry, Vivian Cook, and Ron Kim in serving in the Assembly Majority’s leadership. Prior to her appointment, Rozic served as chair of the Assembly’s Task Force on Women’s Issues and the Subcommittee on Emerging Workforce. She currently serves on the State Assembly’s Ways and Means, Labor, Environmental Conservation, Consumer Affairs and Protection, Correction, and Corporations, Authorities and Commissions Committees. Rozic represents the communities of Flushing, Queensboro Hill, Hillcrest, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens, Bayside, and Douglaston.
