Elmira, N.Y., December 7—New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) will be joined by area Assemblymen Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning), Bill Nojay (R,C-Pittsford) and Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) at a series of community meetings across Schuyler, Steuben and Yates counties in mid-December.

In a joint statement, the lawmakers said, “We hope our constituents will take advantage of these community meetings to learn more about and contribute to this year’s challenges and debates over taxes, regulations, mandates, economic development, health care, education, and other key issues. Community meetings offer the kind of direct give and take that’s fundamental to effective government.”

They said that the meetings are informal and open to the public to give local residents an opportunity to directly share their concerns, opinions and suggestions for better government.

On Monday, December 14th, O’Mara and Palmesano will hold the following community meetings in Schuyler County:

> Tyrone Town Hall (457 County Road 23, Dundee) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..; and

> Catharine Town Hall (5182 Park Road, Odessa) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, December 15th, O’Mara, Palmesano, Nojay and Giglio will hold the following meetings in Steuben County:

> Fremont Town Hall (8217 Cream Hill Road, Arkport) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and

> Addison Town Hall (21 Main Street) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, December 16th, O’Mara and Palmesano will hold the following community meetings in Yates County:

> Dundee Village Hall (12 Union Street) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and

> Branchport Fire Department (3686 Route 54A, Branchport) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The legislators stressed that any local residents unable to attend a meeting can contact them directly to share specific concerns and suggestions.
