Hawley Works To Deliver For Western New York

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R-I-C – Batavia) attends a hearing of the Joint Budget Conference Committee on Environment, Agriculture and Housing today in Albany (pictured above).

Appointed to this committee to represent the Assembly Minority Conference during budget negotiations, Hawley and the other members of the Joint Budget Conference Committees plan to work through the weekend in order to deliver an on-time budget by April 1.

The Environment, Agriculture and Housing part of the budget contains capital funding projects as well as $25 million in funding for state programs. A strong advocate for New York’s farmers, Hawley is working to ensure that funding for these programs in particular are provided. Most especially, the Assemblyman wants to make certain that all of the Cornell Cooperative Programs are provided with state funding.
