Leader Barclay Joins Brian Reeves At Press Conference To Advocate For Agriculture Industry

On Tuesday, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) (right) joined Brian Reeves (left), President of the NYS Vegetable Growers Association and owner of Reeves Farm located in Baldwinsville, at a press conference on the Million Dollar Staircase at the NYS Capitol.

The press conference was attended by advocates of the farming community, including Reeves, who voiced his concerns over the recent decision by the Farm Laborers Wage Board to lower the overtime threshold for farm workers. Reeves insists that this decision will devastate the agricultural community and drive laborers to other states where they will be able to earn more money working the hours they choose.

The Assembly Minority Conference continues to stand with the farming community and believes it is the backbone of our local communities and economy. The Conference vehemently opposes the decision made by the Wage Board and will continue to call on Gov. Hochul to reject its suggestions.
