Leader Barclay Gathers With CNY Community Arts Members To Promote Local Landscapes And Landmarks Exhibit
Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) gathered with board members and staff of the Central New York (CNY) Arts Center to promote the upcoming Local Landscapes and Landmarks visual art exhibit on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. In partnership with the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the CNY Arts Center offers a unique, free-to-enter event that gives artists a chance to showcase their talent and celebrate the beauty of central New York.
“Every year, I am in awe of the amazing pieces our local talent showcases,” said Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski). “What I especially enjoy about these exhibits are the unique perspectives on familiar sights and the sense of connection and pride among residents and visitors alike. It’s a must-see event that truly highlights the creative heart of Oswego.”
Submissions are open to residents of Oswego County, southern Jefferson County and northern Cayuga County. For more information regarding eligibility, a map can be viewed here.
As a reminder, accepted works will include the following: watercolors, photography, original prints, pen and ink, acrylic and pencil work. Submissions are due no later than Oct. 14 and should be brought to Leader Barclay’s district office at 19 Canalview Mall, Fulton, NY 13069. Contestants should also include their contact information and a brief description of their work on the back of their art.
