Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) (pictured holding check) presented the Ionia Volunteer Fire Company with a check for $200,000 for the purchase of a new fire truck. Leader Kolb was joined by Ionia Chief Lynn Parrish (pictured right of Leader Kolb), West Bloomfield Town Board Member William Travis (pictured second from left), members of the Fire Company and their families earlier today.
The truck, built in 2016, has a host of upgraded capabilities and will help modernize the departments operations. The financial support comes from the State and Municipal Facilities Program, which is designed to help to provide funding for construction, improvements, rehabilitation, financing and other projects.
