Paid Family Leave

Providing workers with paid time off to care for their families is good for economic security and also benefits the overall economy and society as a whole. Hard-working New Yorkers must be given the flexibility of being able to care for their loved ones when they’re needed the most.

The NYS Assembly would implement paid family leave benefits to:
  • Provide workers with paid time off benefits for injury, sickness, pregnancy or to care for a family member
  • Help families maintain financial security
