        Introduced  by  M. of A. CARROLL, COLTON, DINOWITZ, PHEFFER AMATO, RICH-
          ARDSON -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law
 
        AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to petitions for  election
          to the party position of member of the county committee

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 6-132 of the election law is amended  by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 1-a to read as follows:
     3    1-a.  In  the case of a petition for election to the party position of
     4  member of the county committee, candidates  shall  not  be  required  to
     5  provide  their  zip  code,  provided that they have clearly stated their
     6  town or city on such petition.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
