        Introduced  by  M. of A. JOHN -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions
 
        AN ACT to amend the not-for-profit corporation law, in relation  to  the
          penalty for crematory operations
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section 1. Section 1517  of  the  not-for-profit  corporation  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (k) to read as follows:
     3    (k)  Whenever  a  person violates the provisions of this section, such
     4  person shall be deemed guilty of a class E felony.
     5    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
     6  it shall have become a law.
