        Introduced  by M. of A. MAGEE -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Local Governments
 
        AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to  the  vote  of
          municipal officers on contracts regarding rural electric cooperatives
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph f of subdivision 1 of section 802 of the  general
     2  municipal  law,  as  amended  by  chapter  1043  of the laws of 1965, is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    f. A contract with a membership corporation or  other  voluntary  non-
     5  profit  corporation  or association including, but not limited to, rural
     6  electric cooperatives. For purposes of this paragraph, the  term  "rural
     7  electric  cooperative"  shall have the same meaning as the term "cooper-
     8  ative" as defined in subdivision (a) of section two of the  rural  elec-
     9  tric cooperative law;
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
