        AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to the  notification  of
          residents  of  managed-care facilities of the presence of a registered
          sex offender living at the premises

 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Section 168-c of the correction law is amended by adding a
     2  new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
     3    5. It shall be the duty of the division  to  notify  any  managed-care
     4  facility  that a registered sex offender is living on their premises. It
     5  shall be the duty of the managed-care facility to notify  its  residents
     6  and  the  immediate  family  of  such  residents of the presence of such
     7  registered sex offender.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth  day  after  it  shall
     9  have become a law.
