        AN ACT to amend the election law, in  relation  to  the  designation  of
          polling places
 

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 4-104 of the election law is amended  by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 5-a to read as follows:
     3    5-a.  Whenever  the majority of voters eligible to vote in an election
     4  district reside on a college or university  campus,  the  polling  place
     5  designated for any such district shall be on that campus.
     6    § 2.  This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
     7  ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
