ENGLEBRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring an attorney with a concentration in elder law to participate in determinations of claims before the office of victim services The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 627 of the executive law is 2 amended by adding a new paragraph (d-1) to read as follows: 3 (d-1) the active participation of an attorney, admitted to practice 4 law in this state with a concentration in elder law for not less than 5 five years, in the determination of all claims; 6 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD07983-01-1
