AN ACT to authorize approval of certain transportation contracts of the
Massapequa union free school district
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken
2 or caused to be had and taken by the Massapequa union free school
3 district and by all officers, employees or agents of such school
4 district relating to or in connection with transportation contracts
5 E257537, E257538, E257539, E257540, E257541, E257542, E257543, E257547,
6 E257533, E257535, E257536, E259186, E259185, E259184, E610509, E253710,
7 and E961006 of the 2008-2009 through 2011-2012 school years, and all
8 acts incidental thereto are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and
9 confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with the contract
10 award, approval, and filing provisions of the education law, the general
11 municipal law or any other law or any other statutory authority, rule or
12 regulations, other than those filing provisions defined in paragraph a
13 of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law, in relation to
14 any omission, error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceed-
15 ing had and taken.
16 § 2. The education department is hereby directed to consider the
17 aforementioned contracts for transportation aid as valid and proper
18 obligations of the Massapequa union free school district.
19 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
