        Introduced  by M. of A. GUNTHER -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Energy
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to  distribution
          utility
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 1891  of  the  public  authorities
     2  law,  as added by chapter 487 of the laws of 2009, is amended to read as
     3  follows:
     4    4. "Distribution  utility"  means  any  gas  or  electric  corporation
     5  providing gas or electricity to end use consumers that is a public util-
     6  ity company, including a municipality, a rural electric cooperative or a
     7  public  utility  authority  organized  pursuant  to article five of this
     8  chapter.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
