Go to topSTATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 6161 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY March 10, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. CUSICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to authorize Anthony Pocchia to qualify for post-retirement health insurance benefits The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, 2 Anthony Pocchia, a retiree of the New York state unified court system, 3 and his dependents shall be permitted to apply all creditable service, 4 including military service credit, in order to qualify for post-retire- 5 ment health insurance in the New York state health insurance plan. 6 § 2. Any unused sick time earned by Anthony Pocchia shall be used to 7 offset the costs of the New York state health insurance plan chosen by 8 Anthony Pocchia. 9 § 3. The New York state department of civil service shall accept and 10 process Anthony Pocchia's application for post-retirement health insur- 11 ance benefits as if he retired upon date of receipt. 12 § 4.
