        Introduced  by M. of A. RABBITT -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee  on  Environmental  Conservation  --  committee  discharged,  bill
          amended,  ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said commit-
          tee
 
        AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
          allowing the use of rifles for hunting in Rockland county

 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
     2  of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 11 of chap-
     3  ter 483 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows:
     4  (i) The counties of       Deer, the first Monday  Pistol, shotgun,
     5    Allegany,               after November 15       crossbow,
     6    Cattaraugus, Chemung,   through first Tuesday   muzzle loading
     7    Chenango, Herkimer,     after December 7        firearm, rifle or
     8    Madison,                                        long bow only
     9    Montgomery, Oneida,
    10    Oswego, Otsego,
    11    Rockland,
    12    Schoharie, Schuyler,
    13    Steuben,
    14    Tioga and Yates
    15    and that portion of
    16    the county of
    17    Broome east of the

    18    Susquehanna river
    19    § 2. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of  section  11-0907  of
    20  the  environmental conservation law, as amended by section 12 of chapter
    21  483 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows:
 
    22  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,

    12    §  3.   Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
    13  the environmental conservation law, as added by section 2 of chapter 600
    14  of the laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
 
    15  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
    16    Allegany,               first Monday after      muzzle loading
    17    Cattaraugus,            November 15 through     firearm, rifle or
    18    Chenango, Herkimer,     first Tuesday after     long bow only
    19    Montgomery, Oneida,     December 7
    20    Oswego, Otsego,
    21    Rockland,
    22    Schoharie and Tioga
    23    and that portion of
    24    the county of
    25    Broome east of the
    26    Susquehanna river

    27    § 4.  This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the amend-
    28  ment to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section  11-0907  of
    29  the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act shall
    30  be  subject  to  the  expiration  and reversion of such item pursuant to
    31  section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993,  as  amended,  when  upon
    32  such  date  the provisions of section two of this act shall take effect;
    33  and provided further that the amendments to item (i) of paragraph  a  of
    34  subdivision  2  of section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law
    35  made by section two of this act shall be subject to the  expiration  and
    36  reversion of such item pursuant to section 17 of chapter 483 of the laws
    37  of 2010, when upon such date the provisions of section three of this act
    38  shall take effect.
