BALL, SPANO, TOBACCO -- Multi-Sponsored by -- M. of A. CALHOUN, MENG, SCOZZAFAVA, WEISENBERG -- read once and referred to the Committee on Agriculture AN ACT to amend the agriculture and markets law, in relation to exces- sive breeding of dogs The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The agriculture and markets law is amended by adding a new 2 section 366-b to read as follows: 3 § 366-b. Excessive breeding of dogs. It shall be unlawful for any 4 person to conduct the excessive breeding of dogs in an uncontrolled 5 manner and location so as to be in a cruel and inhumane manner. 6 Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty 7 of a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine of not more than five 8 hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by 9 both such fine and imprisonment. 10 § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of November next succeed- 11 ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
