        Introduced by M. of A. BUCHWALD -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee  on  Local  Governments  --  recommitted to the Committee on Local
          Governments in accordance with Assembly Rule 3, sec.  2  --  committee
          discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted
          to said committee
 

        AN  ACT  to  authorize  future cemetery fund transfers from one cemetery
          located in the town of Bedford to other  cemeteries  in  the  town  of
          Bedford  and to legalize, validate, ratify and confirm the transfer of
          cemetery funds made by the town board of the town of Bedford from  one
          cemetery in the town of Bedford to other cemeteries within such town
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding section 290 of the town law,  the  town  of
     2  Bedford,  in the county of Westchester, is hereby authorized to transfer
     3  funds received from the sale of burial plots in the Chichester  Cemetery
     4  to  any other municipally owned cemetery in the town for general mainte-
     5  nance and improvement to such cemeteries.  Nothing  in  this  act  shall

     6  relieve the town of Bedford of its obligation to maintain the Chichester
     7  Cemetery.
     8    §  2. Notwithstanding section 290 of the town law, all proceedings and
     9  actions taken by the town board of the town of Bedford, in the county of
    10  Westchester, in relation to the transfer of $12,975 from the  Chichester
    11  Cemetery fund to repair head stones in the Lake Marie, Buxton, Old Bury-
    12  ing  Ground  and Chichester Cemeteries, are hereby legalized, validated,
    13  ratified and confirmed.
    14    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
