        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
          relation to state reimbursement for payment differentials for  housing
          eligible single adults at domestic violence shelters
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is  amended
     2  by adding a new section 21-130.1 to read as follows:
     3    §  21-130.1  Shelter reimbursement for housing eligible single adults.
     4  Any residential program for victims of domestic violence, as defined  in
     5  section  four  hundred  fifty-nine-a  of  the social services law, which
     6  provides temporary housing assistance to a single individual  who  meets
     7  such  program's  necessary eligibility requirements, shall be reimbursed
     8  by the state for any payment differential for housing a single  individ-
     9  ual  in  a  room  intended  for  double  occupancy in order to address a
    10  system-wide lack of shelter capacity for single adults.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
