        Introduced by M. of A. BARNWELL -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Insurance
 
        AN  ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation to requiring the disclo-
          sure of contractor's insurance company information
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The insurance law is amended by adding a new section 344 to
     2  read as follows:
     3    § 344. Disclosure of contractor's insurance information. Any public or
     4  private  entity which hires a contractor or subcontractor shall disclose
     5  the contractor's and/or subcontractor's  insurance  information  to  any
     6  other  person  or public or private entity which states they are looking
     7  to file a claim against such entity and the  contractor  and/or  subcon-
     8  tractor  was under contract with such entity  when and where the alleged
     9  claim arose.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
