CONGRATULATING "The Empire Plate" upon the
occasion of celebrating its 500th episode on
December 1, 2022
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize
illustrious culinary broadcasts which connect their viewers to the power
and joy of food, and have positively impacted and substantially
contributed to the vitality of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate "The Empire Plate" upon the occasion of celebrating its
500th episode; this milestone show will be recorded on Thursday,
December 1, 2022, at Wild Cat Sports Pub in Camillus, New York; and
WHEREAS, Local food enthusiast, Bill Vinci, of Rome, New York,
travels across the State of New York, along with his son Ryan, featuring
family-owned bars and restaurants on his online food show, "The Empire
Plate"; and
WHEREAS, What began more than nine years ago on YouTube has grown to
attract a large social media following and national acclaim with famous
guests participating in the show, ranging from sports stars to rockers
and celebrity chefs; and
WHEREAS, The remarkable success of "The Empire Plate" is due in
large part to the steadfast and unwavering commitment of this
extraordinary team: Producer and Host Bill Vinci, Associate Producer
Ryan Vinci, and Lafayette Cunningham who shoots, edits, and helps
produce the 8-to-12-minute segments; and
WHEREAS, For nearly a decade, "The Empire Plate" has celebrated the
joys of eating out while supporting family businesses and helping
promote restaurants across New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize and honor milestones in the history of radio and television
productions both large and small in this great Empire State; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate "The Empire Plate" upon the occasion of celebrating its
500th episode on December 1, 2022, and to offer best wishes to its team
for continued success in all their future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Bill Vinci, Ryan Vinci and Lafayette Cunningham, "The
Empire Plate".
