AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to establishing
the town of Yorktown industrial development agency
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The general municipal law is amended by adding a new
2 section 925-s to read as follows:
3 § 925-s. Town of Yorktown industrial development agency. For the bene-
4 fit of the town of Yorktown and the inhabitants thereof, an industrial
5 development agency, to be known as the TOWN OF YORKTOWN INDUSTRIAL
6 DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, is hereby established for the accomplishment of any
7 or all of the purposes specified in title one of this article. It shall
8 constitute a body corporate and politic, and be perpetual in duration.
9 It shall have the powers and duties now or hereafter conferred by title
10 one of this article upon industrial development agencies and provided
11 that the exercise of the powers by such agency with respect to the
12 acquisition of real property whether by purchase, condemnation or other-
13 wise, shall be limited to the corporate limits of the town of Yorktown,
14 and such agency shall take into consideration the local zoning and plan-
15 ning regulations as well as the regional and local comprehensive land
16 use plans. It shall be organized in a manner prescribed by and be
17 subject to the provisions of title one of this article. Its members
18 shall be appointed by the governing body of the town of Yorktown. The
19 agency, its members, officers and employees and its operations and
20 activities shall in all respects be governed by the provisions of title
21 one of this article.
22 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
