        Introduced  by  Sen. HOYLMAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to the practice of  phar-
          macy and administration of immunizations

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 6801 of the education law is amended  by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
     3    6.  A  licensed  pharmacist  may  administer  immunizations to prevent
     4  influenza to a person nine years of age or older.
     5    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
     6  have  become  a  law;  provided, however, that the amendments to section
     7  6801 of the education law made by section one  of  this  act  shall  not
     8  affect  the  expiration  of  such  section and shall be deemed to expire
     9  therewith.
