        Introduced  by  Sen. RITCHIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Children and Families
 
        AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to the  release  of
          child protective services records in the event of kidnapping
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The social services law is amended by adding a new  section
     2  424-c to read as follows:
     3    §  424-c. Release of records in the event of kidnapping. The office of
     4  children and family services shall, upon receipt of a  reported  kidnap-
     5  ping  from  a law enforcement agency, release to such agency all reports
     6  and records filed pursuant to this title.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
