KRUGER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to definition of auxiliary police officer The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 1.20 of the criminal procedure law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 34-b to read as follows: 3 34-b. "Auxiliary police officer" means (a) a member of an auxiliary 4 police organization authorized by local law pursuant to section one 5 hundred five of chapter seven hundred eighty-four of the laws of nine- 6 teen hundred fifty-one, constituting the New York state defense emergen- 7 cy act or (b) a member of an auxiliary police organization trained by 8 the police department with which the auxiliary police organization is 9 associated, who bears the title auxiliary police officer and serves 10 without compensation. 11 § 2.
