          printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Children
          and  Families  --  committee discharged and said bill committed to the
          Committee on Finance -- committee discharged,  bill  amended,  ordered
          reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee
 

        AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to the treatment of
          earned  income  of  a  child  under the age of 18 when determining the
          eligibility of a household for a child care subsidy
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Subdivisions  2,  3,  4,  5 and 6 of section 410-w of the
     2  social services law, are renumbered subdivisions 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and  a
     3  new subdivision 2 is added to read as follows:
     4    2. For purposes of determining financial eligibility under this title,
     5  the earned income of a dependent child under the age of eighteen, who is
     6  not  legally  responsible for the child or children for which child care
     7  assistance is sought, shall be disregarded when determining  the  eligi-

     8  bility of a household for a child care subsidy.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
