        Introduced  by  Sen.  KRUGER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction  and
          Community Development
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  private housing finance law, in relation to the
          exclusion of a veteran's disability benefits from the  computation  of
          income in the selection of tenants
 

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1.  Section 31 of the private housing finance law  is  amended
     2  by adding a new subdivision 13 to read as follows:
     3    13.    For  the  purpose  of this section,   probable aggregate annual
     4  income shall not include disability benefits paid by the federal govern-
     5  ment to a veteran for a service  connected  disability  nor  shall  such
     6  benefits be included in computing any surcharge against such veteran.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of August next succeeding
     8  the date on which it shall have become a law.
