        Introduced  by Sen. FLANAGAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
        AN ACT to amend the highway  law,  in  relation  to  the  limitation  on
          certain highway expenses in the town of Brookhaven, Suffolk county
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subparagraph 1-d of paragraph a of subdivision 3 of section
     2  271 of the highway law, as added by chapter 523 of the laws of 1986,  is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    (1-d)  [One]  Two  million six hundred thousand dollars in the town of
     5  Brookhaven in Suffolk county for replacement of equipment or replacement
     6  for comparable use, as well as new purchases.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
