        Introduced  by  Sen. VALESKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
          ment Operations
 
        AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to the location  of
          open meetings
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 103 of the public officers law is amended by adding
     2  a new subdivision (d) to read as follows:
     3    (d) Public bodies shall make  or  cause  to  be  made  all  reasonable
     4  efforts  to  ensure  that  meetings  are held in an appropriate facility
     5  which can adequately accommodate members  of  the  public  who  wish  to
     6  attend such meetings.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
