        Introduced  by  Sen.  LANZA  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
          ment Operations
 
        AN ACT to amend public  officers  law,  in  relation  to  making  agency
          payroll records available
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The opening paragraph of subdivision 3 of section 87 of the
     2  public officers law, as added by chapter 933 of the  laws  of  1977,  is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    [Each] Notwithstanding any other provision in this article, each agen-
     5  cy shall maintain and make available:
     6    §  2.  This  act  shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall
