AN ACT to amend the real property tax law and the administrative code of
the city of New York, in relation to applications for tax abatements
for industrial construction work on peaking units in a city of one
million or more persons
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 489-dddddd of the real property
2 tax law is amended by adding a new paragraph (a-1) to read as follows:
3 (a-1) Notwithstanding paragraph (a) of this subdivision, application
4 for benefits pursuant to paragraph (b-1) of subdivision three of section
5 four hundred eighty-nine-bbbbbb of this title may be made until July
6 first, two thousand eighteen.
7 § 2. Subdivision 3 of section 489-dddddd of the real property tax law
8 is amended by adding a new paragraph (c) to read as follows:
9 (c) Notwithstanding paragraphs (a) and (b) of this subdivision, bene-
10 fits pursuant to paragraph (b-1) of subdivision three of section four
11 hundred eighty-nine-bbbbbb of this title may be granted for industrial
12 construction work on a peaking unit performed pursuant to a building
13 permit issued on or before August first, two thousand eighteen, or if no
14 permit was required, for industrial construction work on a peaking unit
15 commenced on or before August first, two thousand eighteen.
16 § 3. Subdivision a of section 11-271 of the administrative code of the
17 city of New York is amended by adding a new paragraph 1-a to read as
18 follows:

1 (1-a) Notwithstanding paragraph one of this subdivision, application
2 for benefits pursuant to paragraph two-a of subdivision c of section
3 11-269 of this part may be made until July first, two thousand eighteen.
4 § 4. Subdivision c of section 11-271 of the administrative code of the
5 city of New York is amended by adding a new paragraph 3 to read as
6 follows:
7 (3) Notwithstanding paragraphs one and two of this subdivision, bene-
8 fits pursuant to paragraph two-a of subdivision c of section 11-269 of
9 this part may be granted for industrial construction work on a peaking
10 unit performed pursuant to a building permit issued on or before August
11 first, two thousand eighteen, or if no permit was required, for indus-
12 trial construction work on a peaking unit commenced on or before August
13 first, two thousand eighteen.
14 § 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
