AVELLA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities AN ACT in relation to requiring that the New York city landmarks preser- vation commission grant historic district designation to the Broadway/Flushing neighborhood The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other rule, regulation, local, special 2 or general law to the contrary, the Broadway/Flushing neighborhood was 3 granted registration on the state and national registers of historic 4 places in 2006 and in accordance with such designation, the New York 5 City Landmarks Preservation Commission shall grant historic district 6 designation to such neighborhood. 7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD14680-01-6
