        Introduced  by  Sen.  FUNKE  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
 
        AN ACT to amend the real property tax law, in relation to the hearing of
          complaints related to assessments
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1. Subdivision 1 of section 512 of the real property tax law,
     2  as amended by chapter 237 of the laws of 1995, is  amended  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4    1.  Beginning  on  the fourth Tuesday of May, or such other date as is
     5  established by city charter, county charter, county  tax  act  or  other
     6  special  law,  and  so  many  days thereafter as the board of assessment
     7  review deems necessary, but not less than ten business days, such  board
     8  shall meet to hear complaints in relation to assessments.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
