        Introduced  by Sen. McDONALD -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Mental Health and Develop-
          mental Disabilities -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered
          to first and second report, ordered to a third  reading,  amended  and
          ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading
 

        AN  ACT  to amend chapter 24 of the laws of 2007 constituting Jonathan's
          law, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Section 11 of chapter 24 of the laws of 2007, constituting
     2  Jonathan's law, as amended by chapter  262  of  the  laws  of  2010,  is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    §  11. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
     5  section 33.25 of the mental hygiene law as added by section two of  this
     6  act  shall  be deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after
     7  January 1, 2003 with respect to any written requests submitted by quali-
     8  fied persons on or before December 31, [2012] 2015.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
