        Introduced  by  Sen.  MONTGOMERY  -- read twice and ordered printed, and
          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Social Services
 
        AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to a child's eligi-
          bility for kinship guardianship assistance payments after adoption  by
          a guardian
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 458-b of the social  services  law  is  amended  by
     2  adding a new subdivision 1-b to read as follows:
     3    1-b. A child shall remain eligible for kinship guardianship assistance
     4  payments under this title subsequent to the adoption of the child by the
     5  relative guardian or successor guardian.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
