        Introduced  by  Sen.  FARLEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to maintaining a
          public health facility or for providing health care services
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section  1.  Subdivision 7 of section 2827-a of the public authorities
     2  law is REPEALED and a new subdivision 7 is added to read as follows:
     3    7. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of this section  to  the
     4  contrary,  a  public benefit corporation organized and established under
     5  article ten-c of this chapter for the purpose of  maintaining  a  public
     6  health facility or for providing health care services shall not have the
     7  power to form or organize a subsidiary corporation for any reason.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
