Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7770 IN SENATE May 7, 2010 ___________ Introduced by Sen. ESPADA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to extending the patient bill of rights to faculty practices and out-patient clinics associated with hospitals The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 22 2 to read as follows: 3 § 22. Patient rights; out-patient clinics and faculty practices. The 4 commissioner shall require that every out-patient clinic and faculty 5 practice associated with a hospital adopt and make public an identical 6 statement of the rights and responsibilities of patients required to be 7 made by hospitals pursuant to paragraph (g) of subdivision one of 8 section twenty-eight hundred three of this chapter. 9 § 2.
