        Introduced  by M. of A. SIMON -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Election Law
 
        AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to exempting  party  posi-
          tion elections from automatic full manual recounts
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section  9-208  of  the  election  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (f) to read as follows:
     3    (f) This subdivision shall not apply to any election for a party posi-
     4  tion which occurs during a primary election.
     5    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
