        AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation  to  notification  of
          changes  to  medical  and  support  services  to residents in assisted
          living facilities
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Section 4656 of the public health law, as added by chapter
     2  2 of the laws of 2004, is amended by adding a new subdivision 11 to read
     3  as follows:
     4    11. Every assisted living facility licensed under this  article  shall
     5  provide  the  resident,  resident's  representative and resident's legal
     6  representative, if any, no less than  one  hundred  eighty  days  notice
     7  before  there  are  any  changes  in  contracts which affect the medical
     8  and/or other support services to the resident.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
    10  have become a law.
