        Introduced  by M. of A. SOLAGES, TAYLOR -- read once and referred to the
          Committee on Insurance
 
        AN ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation  to  requiring  insurance
          coverage for the cost of donated breast milk
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subsection (i) of section 3216  of  the  insurance  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph 40 to read as follows:
     3    (40) Every policy which provides coverage for prescription drugs shall
     4  include coverage for the cost of donated breast milk.
     5    § 2. Subsection (l) of section 3221 of the insurance law is amended by
     6  adding a new paragraph 23 to read as follows:
     7    (23) Every policy which provides coverage for prescription drugs shall
     8  include coverage for the cost of donated breast milk.
     9    §  3.  Section  4303  of  the insurance law is amended by adding a new
    10  subsection (ww) to read as follows:
    11    (ww) Every contract issued by a hospital  services  corporation  or  a
    12  health  services  corporation  which  provides coverage for prescription
    13  drugs shall include coverage for the cost of donated breast milk.
    14    § 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
