        AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to notifying voters of the
          candidates to be voted on in each election
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Section  4-122 of the election law is amended by adding a
     2  new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4. Upon publication of the list described in subdivision one  of  this
     4  section,  the  county  board  of  elections shall email, if a registered
     5  voter's email is available to the county board of  elections,  to  every
     6  registered  voter  in  the  county  a postcard containing such list. The
     7  board shall also mail at least one physical copy of the postcard to each
     8  household with a registered voter in the county.  Should  the  board  of
     9  elections find it impossible to provide such postcard six days before an
    10  election,  it  shall  provide such postcard at the earliest possible day
    11  thereafter before such election.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
    13  it shall have become a law.
