        Introduced   by   COMMITTEE  ON  RULES  --  (at  request  of  M.  of  A.
          J. M. Giglio) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health
 
        AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation  to  the  involuntary
          confinement  of  individuals  afflicted with a communicable disease in
          certain situations
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Section 2120 of the public health law is amended by adding
     2  a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
     3    6. The provisions of this section shall  be  the  sole  and  exclusive
     4  procedure for the involuntary confinement of any individual afflicted or
     5  suspected of being afflicted with a communicable disease.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
