        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to the  eligible  creden-
          tials  of faculty members in a program of studies leading to a certif-
          icate in psychoanalysis
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Section  8405 of the education law is amended by adding a
     2  new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4. Faculty of a program of study leading to certificate in psychoanal-
     4  ysis. Notwithstanding  any  other  provision  of  law,  licensure  as  a
     5  licensed  psychoanalyst  or  as a licensed clinical social worker with a
     6  certificate  in  psychoanalysis  shall  fully  satisfy  the  educational
     7  requirement  necessary  to  serve  as  a  faculty member of a program of
     8  studies in a  psychoanalytic  institute  leading  to  a  certificate  in
     9  psychoanalysis.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
